Circular Economy

Land Use Futures have extensive practical experience in designing and implementing sustainability and circular economy related projects at all scales. These have ranged from:

• National scale analysis of opportunities for using locally produced bio-based fertiliser (digestate and biochar) in the vicinity of red-meat processors to support creation of local circular economies,

• Developing and implementing the Strategic Resource Precinct (aka buffertopia) concept for Water Corporation wastewater treatment plants across Western Australia.

• Coordinating preparation of a concept plan for the Strategic Resource Precinct of the Subiaco Water Resource Recovery Facility,

• Developing and successfully implementing Statewide policy for protecting priority agricultural land,

• Securing Strategic Agriculture Precincts for horticulture and intensive agriculture in the Peel and Greater Bunbury regions of Western Australia.
