
Renewable Resources Analysis
Renewable resources analysis can be undertaken at both the supply (input) side and demand (output) side using a land use analysis approach.
Supply side analysis can be undertaken to ascertain the availability and timing of inputs to resource recovery and other processing facilities, generally to meet demand and to inform the facility design. This can range from wastewater to a range of biomass materials.
Demand side analysis is undertaken to ascertain demand for a range of processed and unprocessed products such as water, biobased fertilisers and soil conditioners (e.g. compost, biochar, digestate), bioenergy or other services such as carbon sequestration or offsets.
Both supply and demand side analysis inform planning of resource recovery or processing facilities such as water resource recovery facilities, anaerobic digestors, composting and pyrolysis facilities. See some project examples below.
